Tiki Party!

We gathered tonight at Christa's apartment for a Tiki Party and to learn more about the Tiki craze in the 60's...it was very interesting! Here are some photos from the night...

    Uh, tikis? Did you really have a party just to learn about tikis??? I could have told you to just check out the tiki room at Disneyland (wait, is that even there anymore?).

    Oh, and nice cards. They put my Christmas cards to shame. I keep the cards I make too. I keep them with my paper, so I can copy them later.

    Actually, Christa had just presented a paper at this big conference in San Fran for the Pop Culture Association entitled "Tiki & Technology." :) It was all about Walt's Tiki Room and how it was so edgy at the time...interesting stuff. And the Tiki Room is still alive & kicking. :) So the party was celebrating that and an excuse to eat pinapple cake and make smoothies.
