While driving home on Monday I stopped at a park to make a phone call and kill some time. When I was ready to resume on my merry way, I found I could not make a left onto PCH from the park. I had to turn right and make a U-turn at the next light. When I was about to make the U-turn I noticed that if I just turned left it would take me down to Treasure Island Park & Beach. I still had time to kill, so I figured, why not? Well folks, I have just discovered the best beach in Laguna! The landscaping is immaculate! The parking is covered, the pay station takes credit cards, & they have the nicest public park restroom I've ever seen! I took some pictures from above the beach.
The park & beach are right next to the Montage Resort, so I'm sure that's why they are so nice. The only drawback is having to walk down the sloping path to the actual water. But what a beautiful walk!On Wednesday there was a demonstration outside of where I work. I guess it was the Union of janitors, but I'm not sure. We knew about the demonstration, but I knew it wouldn't affect me, so I didn't really pay attention. Well, at about 1pm I hear the sounds of drums banging. I looked out the window and saw this!
That's a lot of people! The police shut it down pretty fast I hear, but wow! I hope their demands are met. It is not a fun job, but it is one that is desperately needed and they should be compensated. And that is my foray into politics today. :)
