I love getting tagged!

My blog buddy Brittany (how's that for alliteration!) tagged me! I was so honored and seriously would have not believed that she would have thought of little ol' me if there wasn't a link to my blog! Thanks Brittany! I have to admit, I love getting tagged and always do them.

Okay, 7 random things about me;

1. I love video games! In fact, I am playing Zelda on my gamecube right now (it's paused so I could watch 'The Office' online & eat some toast). I also have a Nintendo ds that I carry on my person at all times. :)

2. I am engaged to a missionary. We met almost 4 years ago, fell in love, decided to get married, but I decided I would first wait for him because he still wanted to go on a mission (he's 25). I'm an RM and appreciate the value of serving a mission, so I support him on this. It's really tough, and made even tougher by people who are judgmental about it.

3. I served my mission in Ukraine, and Cody (my fiance) was also called to Ukraine! Whoa!

4. My favorite foods are nachos and sushi, specifically the galaxy roll & crab-stuffed jalapenos at Riptide. mmmmmmm!

5. One of my nicknames is "Hooker" (it's not what you think). Some guy came up to me my freshman year because he heard my name was Heather, and asked me if my last name was Hooker (he was really looking for a girl who was named Heather Hooker). Well, some girls from my soccer team heard it and never let it go. My team called me Hooker, which led to other friends calling me that, and mostly gals from church. At girls camp they put a sign above my bed saying "Hooker's Corner." It was pretty funny. Even now some people still call me Hooker. It's fun seeing the look on new, unsuspecting friends when they hear an old pal call me that.

6. I have a very over-active imagination, and I think quickly. It keeps me company most of the time, but is also a burden. It sucks when I go crazy trying to interpret something Cody said, usually in innocence, or when my roommate goes out of town and forgets to tell me. I try never to over-react, and I'm usually successful outwardly. To stave off over-thinking things I am very direct with people so I can have all the facts. My quick wit and my directness cause me to not have a filter between my brain and my mouth most times. I say this, but believe it or not, I think so fast that I usually have time to think about what I say before I do, but I'll still say it anyways 90% of the time. I'm a huge fan of honesty (but not rudeness).

7. I am a very good listener, but I also love to talk! I will only talk to good listeners. I am very discerning, and if I can tell you aren't really interested or that you are just thinking about what you are going to say next, I'll clam up. I actually don't find many good listeners, so I end up just calling my sister, my mom, and my 3 best friends a lot. They always listen. :)

Okay, here's the part where I tag people, and they break my heart by never doing it -
Jessi P.
Kristine S.
Holly M.
Laura T.
Kristin H.
Andrea B.
Shelley B.
There are so many people I'd like to tag, but I thought I'd shake things up and tag people who will probably be surprised by how much I love reading their blogs. :)

That's funny about number 7, because I like to think I'm a good listener, and with my clients I definitely am, even if uninterested, but I'm not good at pretending to be interested with friends or family.

I have a coworker who is just plain weird, and says random things he thinks are hilarious, and I just can't fake it.

Awesome! I didn't know you and your missionary both went to the Ukraine (I guess I didn't put that together before)

I, too, love Zelda and have to have the newest whenever they come out!! Your listening one reminded me of a period of time when I was worried about hearing loss. Turns out I just wasn't paying full attention to the speakers :) I highly recommend the Air Force. It's a terrific organization in too many ways to discuss here. As a former Marine and current Soldier, I would know!! Hahahaha...

Very surprised, and very flattered--thanks! I do love Zelda, but I never graduated past the original NES.
