Christa, Dawn, Melissa & I went to El Coyote Mexican Cafe on Saturday night. If you have been reading our other blog, Preserving Marriage, you probably know that the gay community is attempting to boycott this restaurant because a woman who works there donated $100 to the YES on Prop 8 Campaign. It doesn't matter that the owner donated $10,000 to a couple of LGTB groups. They are mad that this one woman donated just $100 of her personal money, in no way affiliated with the restaurant. So of course we had to go and show our support. We each brought a thank you card for Marjorie and had the pleasure of speaking to her and letting her know that for every person that may attack her for her position, there are many more who support her and her right to vote how she wants and donate money to whatever cause she desires.
The food was really great, and there really is something special about the restaurant. The staff are all so sweet, and like family. It wasn't expensive either. If you have the opportunity, please take a group to go eat at the restaurant. We need to support the families that are losing money because of this "Tyranny of Tolerance." When we were there it looked pretty busy, but Marjorie told us that it was nothing compared to how it used to be. Check out there cool website here, El Coyote Mexican Cafe.
After dinner Dawn & Christa introduced us to Diddy Riese in Westwood. Homemade ice cream sandwich for a buck fifty? Genius! It was delicious! Thanks for the fun night girls!
ps...I put a lot of pics from that night on Facebook. If we aren't facebook friends...why not? :)
