What do you think?

Too dark?

In these trying financial times an $8 box of dye makes more sense than giving people $50+ for blonde highlights. I was just going to dye it my natural color (light, ashy brown, or as people refer to it, "dish-water blonde"), but I let Cody pick out what color he wanted, and he chose a much darker shade. At least if he doesn't like it, I can say, "Well you picked it!" I'm sneaky like that. :)

*gasp!* A post from Hizzeather?! Do my eyes deceive me?

Great to see you on here again, hon. Looks gorgeous. I like the darker tone.

I know that commenting on a post like this is going to cost me a "man card," but I had to tell you that in the photo you look just like assistant D.A. Casey Novak from Law & Order SVU (before she went blonde).

You look great as a blonde and a brunette!!

Thanks guys...It's very dark, and I keep doing a double-take when I see myself, but I like it! :)

Ben - I had to google that girl...I had no idea who you were talking about. Although she is way prettier than me, I'm glad that you didn't say someone else, like one of the rejects from 'Flavor of Love' or something. :)

I like it! You have the skin tone for it. It's a very nice crisp color!

It looks good on you! Taylor would die if I ever went lighter. I've been entertaining the idea of some blue-black lowlights for about 7 years...but I worry they'd be too unprofessional if they ended up looking blue.

It looks good on you! Definitely brings out your facial features more (eyes, etc). One thing I like about going darker is how you can do your makeup differently.A hairstylist once told me that brunettes need to wear more blush or rouge :) to avoid looking washed out. It's just a little tidbit that I always keep in mind when going darker. How fun for Cody too!

Love it! You could have even gone darker and it would look good. When I first went brown I went light brown (I was nervous!) But with each box I went darker and darker. I then almost thought I'd try a light black! I didn't (obvioiusly) but you could totally go darker next time, plus it lasts longer and looks fresher. (Can you say that? Your hair looks fresher?) I like the tip about the make up too. I wear more mascara with my dair hair and I like my eye shadow better with the brown hair. So that will be fun for you to play with too! I know this is a long comment, but one more. I realized today I was married for 8 months as a blonde. And it's been 6 months that I've been a brunette. Chris doesn't even remember me blonde. :) You beat me though, one month and you're already changing? Way to spice up the marriage already!
