Karly turned 26 last week and she had a few peeps over for dinner on Sunday night. She ended up having 13 people in her lil' apt, but it was so fun! We laughed, ate delicious food, watched some "Office" and had a great time. You can read more about it from her post here.
I've made a new blog showing my handmade stuff...it's still "under construction." But you can see the card I made for Karly here.
Okay, Okay, I didn't mean for this to be a post full of links! I didn't want to be redundant, but there was one funny thing that hasn't been blogged anywhere else. I was sitting in Karly's living room, enjoying my chips and nacho cheese, when my eyes started to wander about. From where I was sitting, I could see into Chris and Karly's bedroom. I have seen their room before...Karly has wonderful taste and the room is well decorated and always spotless. So you can imagine my surprise when I saw this... Pictures do not do it justice! I freaked, calling out, "What the heck?" Karly actually went into the room, asking, "What, are there clothes on the floor?" I expected her to freak when she saw the huge TV invading her room, but instead, she looked around it, still wondering what I was in awe over. I had to say, "Ummm...what a nice, large television you have so close to your bed!" Then she finally figured it out! She is used to it now, but she wasn't always so happy about it. I guess Chris got it for free after helping somone install some ovens, and even though they don't exactly have room for it now, it would be kinda dumb to not take it. I asked why it wasn't in the living room, but because it's an HDTV and they only have regular cable, they have their other TV in the living room and they use this one to watch dvds on in bed.
Can you imagine watching '24' on this bad boy? AWESOME! :)
Chris did admit that it scares him sometimes when he wakes up in the middle of the night. :)
The best parts of the night after that were when someone would go look in their room and I would wait for it...wait for it...YES...great reaction! I loved seeing the looks of utter surprise on their faces! It was like having a surprise party over and over again! David's reaction was the best when he exclaimed, "Oh my goodness!" in that awesome southern drawl. It was such a fun night, even without the huge TV joke! :)
