Laguna Beach

As part of my commute I dive through Laguna Beach twice a day. Anyone who knows me knows that I hate to drive, but this drive is so beautiful that I kinda enjoy it. Sometimes I will stop at different places trying to get to know the real Laguna Beach. Today I stopped at Heisler Park, just north of Main Beach. The park is really awesome, but FYI, it's under construction right now. I took a few pictures from this gazebo that has amazing views of the coastline and the tide pools below.

It was so beautiful that this man felt the need to paint it! That is the real Laguna Beach, a community of artists. It isn't just full of spoiled brats creating drama like MTV portrays. Don't get me wrong, they have that too. But it's mostly an older, artistic crowd, like the lady below...
This picture is classic Laguna Beach! I was stopped at a red light when she walked by. As the light turned green I rolled my window down and literally "shot" her in a drive-by going along PCH. Click on the picture to make sure you can fully appreciate the matching jacket, hat & boots. And those braids! I couldn't believe my luck in getting this picture. Now if only I had a picture of Jason Feddy's mom. Although, now that I think about it, this very well could be her! :)

That lady is great! I should take the kids down to those tide pools when I come out next month! They would love it!
