For the last couple of days I've used my roommate Kim's hair straightener. It started out of pure laziness, because it was already plugged in. But that first day, I got a lot of compliments on my hair. Then on Sunday I got even more compliments. I rarely get compliments on my hair, especially because it gets kinda frizzy here near the water. She has a very nice, professional quality straightener. So I've decided I need to get a new straightener. I guess the drug store special Conair isn't cutting it for me. You get what you pay for, so I'm going to start saving for a good one.
I want it!

I have an OK straightener, but I really want a nice one. I have a hard time paying $150 for it though.
Oh, and I saw your comment on Julie's blog. Your lack of comments on mine hasn't gone unnoticed. :) I kept seeing you comment on hers and I thought maybe you were breaking up with me.
And I read every single comment. I get emails on my phone, so I see everyone. I like to hear from everyone, including you! - August 25, 2008 at 2:42 PM

I'm all about guilting people into leaving comments. ;)
The other problem with leaving them elsewhere is that I don't always see them. Sometimes I sign up for the email follow up comments option, and occasionally I will check back, if I ask a question in my comment, but I read so many blogs, I just don't check back with all of them. - August 25, 2008 at 7:30 PM

I would die, die, die without my flat iron. It's really my one true friend, even though it's really not a great one. My sister in law is a stylist and loves the Chi brand. They're expensive too. They were on sale for $89 a couple of months ago and I didn't have her pick one up. I'm kicking myself now because they're around $140 regularly. I plan on getting one when they go on sale again.

The last two straighteners I've bought were both from TJ Maxx. They are pro brands with solid ceramic plates and everything. They wound up there for who knows why, but my latest one is fast, fantastic, and it was cheap ($30 or $40)! Good luck on the contest, but check out TJ Maxx on your next trip to Barns and Noble; look in the women's accessories section by the soaps and lotions.
