Labor Day Weekend

I went to Utah over the holiday weekend to help my sister settle into the dorms at BYU. Great plan, except she didn't really need me there. :) I flew in Friday evening, mommy picked me up at the airport and we went to Holly's dorm. We kinda had to tear her away from her new roomies and took her to dinner and a little shopping. I know it's such a cliched Utah thing, but I seriously LOVE Cafe Rio! It was so yummy.

I didn't have a car while I was there, and I didn't make any plans to stay anywhere because I didn't know if my mom or sis would need me. So when I realized they didn't, I had to find accommodations. Luckily I have the bestest friends in the world, so I had no problem inviting myself over to various friend's houses. First stop - My BFF Jessi's house! I miss hanging out with her. When we get together we seem to instantly transform back into silly teenagers and we laugh and giggle a lot. Then we see her husband and kids and get shocked back into reality. :) Luckily her husband and kids like to laugh with us too.
Three of her four boys! I meant to take a picture of baby Spencer, but I forgot. :(
They were digging for worms and had a few fine specimens in this tub. Ryan even had a few in his hand when he hugged me goodbye...boys are weird. :)
Gary, the guy who stole my best friend, and Jessi.  Lucky for him, I like him a lot and I gladly share her. :)
Close-up of the cutest couple ever!

We had fun watching movies and eating popcorn and orange julius late into the night, and then we played with the kids in the morning and then spent some quality time driving around and then shopping at the mall. We drove by the almost-finished Draper Temple and I was shocked by how big the houses are near the Temple. I had to be a looky-loo and take pictures.
This one was so big I had to take 4 pictures. It's not finished.
A "smaller" one that is finished. They were all for sale if anyone has a spare few million!

It was so fun to hang out with Jessi again. I love you! Thanks for the hospitality and the great day!

My husband and I drove around the neighborhood the Draper Temple is in a couple of months ago. I was blown away by the size of some of the houses. Insane. I wouldn't want to have to clean one of them. Really, I wouldn't want to have to work as much as it would take to afford one of them and then pay someone else to clean it. I don't think that I would buy one in that neighborhood even if I did have a spare few million. I would want more property if I was going to spend that much money.

I can't believe that house! It's funny where people put their priorities..."We live right next to the temple! And our house is almost the same size!" Haha, not that I'm judging... :) Whow knows what I would do with a few cool million...

I am pretty sure that house is Andre Kirilenko's. I'm not 100% sure, but that's what the rumor is anyway. Look at me! I'm spreading rumors!
