So, I had my scratch test on Wednesday, and I guess I passed with flying colors...I'm not allergic to anything! So I had to suffer for 3 days to find out that I'm not allergic to any common allergens. I guess you could look at the bright side and say that at least now I know for sure. But I prefer to look at the dark side and just say that it really sucked going through all that for nothing.
Here are my arms as I waited to see if I had any reactions. All the dots are where they pushed sharp things into my skin with the oils of the allergens.
Right after the doctor gave me the go-ahead I gulped down one of my pills. I told him that if I took the pills after a reaction started, that it would get worse before it got better. He didn't believe me. So I took pictures on the drive home to shove them in his face next time!

ps...not too safe to take pictures while driving. Don't follow my bad example.Anyhoo, the doctor confirmed what we basically knew, I have auto-immune urticaria. I have anti-bodies that are attacking my thyroid (kinda normal, I just have more than most people). But he said that the anti-bodies are dumb, and sometimes they attack the skin instead of the thyroid. Hence the hives. He said 50% of people have them gone by 11 months. Mine started in Feb, so let's hope I'm in that 50%!!!!
