General Conference

My favorite talk today was hands-down by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin from the afternoon session. Not only was it exactly what a lot of us need to hear (especially me!), but it made me laugh harder than I ever have in General Conference before! It's funny that the most I've ever laughed before was with L. Tom Perry in the morning session! It's been a great day. If you didn't get a chance to watch it, I highly recommend watching it here to see what brought me so much peace & joy!
Elder Wirthlin is very frail and may not have much longer in the world. But I am grateful that he still takes the time & energy to share his knowledge with us. He is so wonderful. Like Jeffery R. Holland said as he followed him in speech today, "Within the ranks of the General Authorities of the Church, there is no man more beloved than Joseph Bitner Wirthlin. We praise him for living the sermons he preaches."

    I LOVED Elder Wirthlin's talk too! It was SO funny! And of course Elder Holland had something very special to say when he followed him. That picture is so sweet. I haven't seen any yet, and that made my conference day even more special.

    Elder Wirthlin is such a gem. I also loved when Elder Holland made the comment about his dear Brother saying that "there is no man more beloved than Joseph Bitner Wirthlin." Got me all choked up. Love that man.
