OUCH!

Note to self - Wear long sleeves when riding your bike through the desert, no matter how hot it is!
On Monday I was doing my visiting teaching and I rode my bike since it takes longer to drive there than to scoot on over the desert. On the way back, I was going down an incline, swerved slightly to miss a clump of dirt, and lost control in some soft sand. After I sat and cried for a second, I called Cody, cried some more, and hobbled to the street so he could pick me up. I have ZERO pain tolerance, so I have had a rough week. It's finally better today after I figured out just to let it breathe, since every time I changed my bandages I peeled of the scabs. I still have to pick some sand out of my palm before it's stuck there forever, and I have a beauty of a bruise on my hip. The only consolation is I feel like a tough chick with all this road rash...when I'm not crying of course. :)

ps...I prayed that we would all be safe that day 3 minutes before my wipeout...what is Heavenly Father trying to tell me? :)

I would say your prayer worked...you didn't wipe out in gravel did you, cause that would have really hurt!! Neosporan is your friend!!! Feel better!

You have faith and it worked you walked away. The prayer really worked. Okay walked away was a wrong choice of words so hobbled away but regardless you are going to heal up and for a few weeks look like the tough chick we all know you are! We just all assumed it was inner strength. Silly us. Be brave. Use some Tribiotic or Neosporan and you'll be great in no time.

When I asked for more blogging I didn't think you'd go to this extreme to have something to write about. Just ribbing ya. OH the ribs aren't hurt too are they? Just get better and come visit soon! I'll cook.

Yowzers, hon! I feel your pain - my knee and ankle got about that scratched up when I fell down the stairs trying to catch the train a couple of weeks ago. Ouch. No fun. At least it heals - in the words of Monty Python, it's merely a "flesh wound." ;)

OUCH!! You need to put some Windex on that baby!! Remember my go-cart "incident?" Well, it didn't start really getting better until I stopped bandaging it up. Oxygen is your friend. Yay for scabs!! Why didn't you post your hip bruise?? C'mon, live a little! We're all girls here.

That stinks so bad. I'm all for crying. You've got to let it out.:)

I was also wondering if you had any kind of a recipe for the bread they had in Ukraine. Royce was talking the other day about it, and I wanted to try and make it for him. He didn't have a specific name for it, it was just the white bread that was similar to french bread...sorry, kind of vague. So if you know of a recipe, or even a more specific name, I'd appreciate it! Hope you feel better soon!
